我们如何使用数据？
由于我们不收集任何数据，因此不存在数据使用问题。
第三方服务
当您点击字幕中的单词进行查询时，扩展会向以下第三方 API 发送查询请求：
- Dictionary API (api.dictionaryapi.dev) - 用于获取英文单词定义
- MyMemory Translation API (api.mymemory.translated.net) - 用于获取中文翻译
- Google Translate API (translate.googleapis.com) - 备用翻译服务
重要说明：
- 仅发送您点击的单词进行查询
- 不发送任何用户身份信息
- 不发送任何个人信息
- 查询请求不包含任何可识别您身份的信息
数据存储
本扩展不使用任何数据存储功能。所有功能都在您的设备本地执行。
权限说明
- activeTab: 仅在您访问 YouTube 视频页面时，用于读取和显示字幕
- https://www.youtube.com/*: 仅在 YouTube 网站运行，不访问其他网站

Data Collection
This extension (YouTube Subtitle Word Lookup Assistant) does NOT collect, store, or transmit any user data.
What Do We Collect?
Answer: Nothing.
- ❌ No personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
- ❌ No browsing history
- ❌ No location information
- ❌ No user activity data
- ❌ No data stored locally or on servers
- ❌ No data uploaded to any servers
How Do We Use Data?
Since we don't collect any data, there is no data usage.
Third-Party Services
When you click a word in subtitles to look it up, the extension sends query requests to the following third-party APIs:
- Dictionary API (api.dictionaryapi.dev) - For English word definitions
- MyMemory Translation API (api.mymemory.translated.net) - For Chinese translations
- Google Translate API (translate.googleapis.com) - Backup translation service
Important Notes:
- Only the clicked word is sent for query
- No user identification information is sent
- No personal information is sent
- Query requests contain no information that can identify you
Data Storage
This extension does not use any data storage functionality. All features are executed locally on your device.
Permission Explanation
- activeTab: Only used when you visit YouTube video pages to read and display subtitles
- https://www.youtube.com/*: Only operates on YouTube website, does not access other websites
